Fly. Tangier is served by several companies including Transavia (up to five flights per week from Paris-Orly). From 112 euros tax included for round trip. You can also check prices using platforms like Skyscanner etc and book directly from the company website.
Move. On foot and by small taxi for more flexibility (and avoid climbing!) or with the Tanger City Tour bus (£13, £6 children from 6 to 14 years old, valid for 48 hours).
Taste. On the go, churros. At the table, fish and seafood, and the classics of Moroccan cuisine. For example on the panoramic terrace of the very chic Nord Pinus hotel (menu from £36) or that of the Salon Bleu and its delicious dishes to share (£11 for seven kemias, Moroccan-style tapas).
Get. Striped foutas (towels) (from £5); woven bedspreads (around £50) at the fendak Chejra, rue Oualili; pouches (£15/30) and cushion covers (£15/40) from the Darna association; cakes (Pâtisserie Alafrah, 35 rue de la Kasbah), from £12 per kilo of gazelle horns. The custom is to haggle but many stores now charge fixed prices.
Ask. Moroccan national tourism office: visitmorocco.com/en and tourist office of Tangier and the region: visittanger.com/en.
Hotel. Our favorite : The very first guest house in the Kasbah, Dar Nour embodies the spirit of Tangier, with its breathtaking views and bohemian spirit. Ten mini-suites and suites, three cozy rooms, small Spa, meticulous kitchen and reception. From £75 for a double, with breakfast.
